|
|
Hello,
2003 Saab 9-3 Linear
Yesterday I received a warning on the SID that my Left Low Beam had failed; naturally, I went out and bought a replacement then, after seeing that the original bulb was okay, I decided to check the fuse
The fuses were fine so I replaced the bulb anyway (and have since swapped back and forth) but still NO LIGHT
I found a bunch of articles related to a Bulb Relay issue, however 1) I am not sure where the heck this is located on my model (no orange relay to be found anywhere) and 2) if it is even relevant to my model.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank you!

Heh...file this one under DUH!
I was looking at the wrong lamp! Let me explain... If you have Xenon lights, the "high beam" lamp located in the same area as the "parking light" lamp is completely NON FUNCTIONAL and, therefore, will NEVER turn on; the Xenon are dual high/low beam whereas (as I understand it) the Halogen lamps are not and utilize TWO separate bulbs...one for LOW and an additional for HIGH....
So, long story short, when I checked the XENON bulb (the one that is nearly impossible to get to without removing the entire engine it was, in fact, burnt out.
I found a local auto parts store called O'Reillys that actually had the bulb for $98.00 and just did it myself....
Hope that helps you! |
